It is important to be aware of your body and the impact it can receive during sport and activity. If you fall or take a hit, don’t shrug it off or forget about it – take active steps and get some ice onto it. “I’ll be fine” is really code for “I can’t be bothered.” Don’t be lazy! Get a cold-pack and cool down the area. It makes a huge difference to the speed of recovery. There will be less swelling, bruising and pain – and, you are bound to shorten the recovery time by days!
